Baseball Recap: Christian Academy of Knoxville Extends Winning Streak to Four

Christian Academy of Knoxville got themselves on the board against King's Academy on Tuesday, but King's Academy never followed suit. They came out on top against the Lions by a score of 5-0. The win was familiar territory for the Warriors, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Tyler Bennett made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted over his last three contests. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three doubles, two runs, and one RBI.

Bennett wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Chip Shelton, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave Shelton a new career-high. Another was Wyatt Jones, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Christian Academy of Knoxville's victory bumped their record up to 19-6-1. As for King's Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.
