Volleyball Recap: Bernalillo Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Bernalillo lost against Belen back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Spartans came up short against the Eagles, falling 3-0.

Bernalillo took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-21, 25-22.

Samaria Brown paced Bernalillo's offense, picking up seven kills. Brown got some help from Rayann Downing and her ten assists. Finally, Brown was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high five blocks.

Shyla Rocha was the offensive standout of the match as she had 14 digs and four assists. That's the most assists she has posted over her last four matchups.

Bernalillo's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Belen, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Bernalillo has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Shiprock on the 27th. As for Belen, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Moriarty on the 23rd.
