Basketball Recap: Jadann Eck's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Las Animas over Hoehne

Las Animas lost against Hoehne last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Las Animas Trojans lost 48-24 to the Hoehne Farmers.

Las Animas lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jadann Eck, who posted eight points and six boards.

Las Animas has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season. Hoehne is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season.

Las Animas wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 37-30 victory against West Grand on the 7th. As for Hoehne, they have also already played their next contest, a 58-10 win against Trinidad on the 7th.
