Softball Game Preview: Columbia Blue Devils vs. Pine Plains Bombers

The Columbia Blue Devils will face off against the Pine Plains Bombers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Columbia 3.3, Pine Plains 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.

On Thursday, Columbia needed a bit of extra time to put away Ballston Spa. They won by a run and slipped past the Scotties 2-1. The victory continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their matchups with the Scotties: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, Pine Plains came up short against Highland on Saturday and fell 9-6. The Bombers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Columbia now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Pine Plains, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 9-5.
