Volleyball Recap: Edison Wildcats vs. Weir Red Riders
Edison lost against Weir back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Edison Wildcats came up short against the Weir Red Riders, falling 3-0.
After all that action, the final score was 25-18, 25-8, 25-20.
Weir can attribute much of their success to Janai Turner, who had 16 digs and two aces. Turner is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in the last 12 games she's played dating back to last season.
Edison dropped their record down to 1-11 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Weir, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.
Edison will take on Harrison Central at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Weir, their road trip will continue as they head out to face Linsly at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
