Bowie is a perfect 4-0 against Detroit since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Pirates will host the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Bowie is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.1 runs per game this season.

Bowie was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against McLeod on Friday. The Pirates were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Longhorns. Considering the Pirates have won six matchups by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Tatum Tyndell spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Abigail Dial, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. She is on a roll when it comes to RBI, as she's now brought in three or more in each of the last four games she's played. Alyson Dodson was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI.

Bowie always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. They are 4-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Meanwhile, Detroit came up short against Maud on Friday and fell 8-5. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bowie has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Detroit, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-4.

Everything went Bowie's way against Detroit in their previous meeting back in April of 2018, as Bowie made off with a 9-3 win. Do the Pirates have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
