Soccer Recap: South Point Takes a Loss

The matchup between South Point and Gallia Academy on Monday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Pointers came up short against the Blue Devils, falling 8-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Gallia Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 back in August.

This is the second loss in a row for South Point and nudges their season record down to 0-8-1. As for Gallia Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. South Point will head out to square off against Ironton at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Gallia Academy, they will take on Piketon at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
