Basketball Recap: Cromwell Comes Up Short

Cromwell and Cherry squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Cromwell had to settle for second. They had to suffer through an 87-53 loss at the hands of the Cherry Tigers. The loss continues a trend for the Cardinals in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost five in a row.

Cromwell's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brady Dahl, who posted 17 points and five rebounds. Dahl's big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Dylan Nyberg was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Cromwell's loss dropped their record down to 20-8. As for Cherry, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 28-1.

As of now, neither Cromwell nor Cherry have any future games scheduled.
