Preview: Milford Eagles vs. Centennial Broncos
Milford is 8-2 against Centennial since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Milford Eagles will be home for the holidays to greet the Centennial Broncos at 6:00 p.m. Milford is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
Last Saturday, Milford's game was all tied up 15-15 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They snuck past Lincoln Lutheran with a 41-37 win. Given Milford's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while Lincoln Lutheran is ranked 193rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought game, but Centennial had to settle for a 37-35 loss against Fairbury on Tuesday.
Milford's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Centennial, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
Milford didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Centennial when the teams last played back in February, but they still walked away with a 31-26 win. Will Milford repeat their success, or does Centennial have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
