Softball Recap: Viborg/Hurley Comes Up Short

Viborg/Hurley lost against Avon last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cougars fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 4-3. The game marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Viborg/Hurley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Avon, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3-1 record this season.

Coincidentally, Viborg/Hurley and Avon will both be playing Gayville-Volin the next time they take the field. The Cougars will head out to face the Raiders on Saturday, while the Pirates will play them later in the day, at 10:00 a.m.
