Baseball Recap: Colfax Triumphs

While Colfax's victory against Chowchilla wasn't quite the blowout they won the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Colfax Falcons had just enough and edged out the Chowchilla Tribe 2-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-5 on Saturday.

Colfax let Rocco Rosales and Cody Tonini run wild. Rosales went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI, while Tonini scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Those stolen bases were Rosales' first of the season.

Colfax pushed their record up to 4-1-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Chowchilla, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Colfax will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Center at 4:00 p.m. on March 12th. As for Chowchilla, they will be taking part in a tournament against Coalinga at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
