Softball Game Preview: Fort White Indians vs. Suwannee Bulldogs

The Fort White Indians will face off against the Suwannee Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort White will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Fort White's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Chiefland with a sharp 7-0 win.

Kadence Compton made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Sydnee Mills was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Morgan Kelly, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Fort White kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chiefland only managed two hits.

Meanwhile, Suwannee unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak two weeks ago. They lost 9-1 to Franklin County.

Fort White pushed their record up to 15-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Suwannee, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.
