League recap: Jones races to league-leading run for Mason County

3A District 6 recap September 4, 2013

Jaylin Jones of Mason County ran for the longest rushing play in 3A District 6 this season against Boyd County last week. Jones ran for 55 yards on the play and finished with 58 on the day as his team bested the Lions.

Jake O'Mara and Carson Fearis provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Boyd County. The connection went for 80 yards, the longest such play in the league this season.

Mason County's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. O'Mara threw for 188 and 2 touchdowns and Fearis had 80 yards receiving. On the ground Rico Hill contributed 69 yards.
