Ganado had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They won by a run and slipped past the Thorndale Bulldogs 2-1. The win was familiar territory for the Indians, who have now won 15 contests in a row.

Saylor Bures spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Ganado saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyla Stancik, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Another was Zoey Ybarra, who got on base in both of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Ganado's record now sits at 28-5-1. As for Thorndale, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 19-8 record this season.
