Baseball Recap: Manchester Township Takes a Loss

Manchester Township was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Brick Township Green Dragons, falling 19-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Green Dragons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-3 last Wednesday.

Justyce Garcia made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Colton Sitarik was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Manchester Township's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Brick Township, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Manchester Township will venture away from home to take on Ocean Township at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Brick Township, they will host Point Pleasant Beach at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
