Baseball Recap: Nipomo Comes Up Short

Nipomo and Hanford West squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Nipomo had to settle for second. They fell 8-4 to the Huskies. The Titans' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Nipomo saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aden Willis, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI. Another was Beau Hageman, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Nipomo's loss dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Hanford West, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-14.

Nipomo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hanford West, they will take on Chowchilla at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tribe will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Huskies surely won't give up without a fight.
