Peotone is 1-6 against Beecher since May of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Blue Devils are taking a road trip to take on the Bobcats at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Peotone 3.3, Beecher 0.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Peotone fell victim to Wilmington and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats.

Sophie Klawitter spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
Meanwhile, Beecher put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Donovan 18-1. The result was nothing new for the Bobcats, who have now won 16 games by nine runs or more so far this season.
Carmela Irwin made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. Irwin was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Beecher got a massive performance out of Makenzie Johnson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Grace Wuest, who went 1-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one double.
Beecher was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .522. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in seven consecutive contests.
Peotone's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Beecher, their record is now 22-0.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Peotone has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 12.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Beecher struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 9.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Peotone couldn't quite finish off Beecher when the teams last played back in May of 2025 and fell 2-0. Can the Blue Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
