Baseball Game Preview: South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls vs. North Stanly Comets

South Stanly hasn't had much luck against North Stanly recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Rowdy Rebel Bulls will square off against the Comets at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Wednesday, South Stanly earned an 11-7 victory over Piedmont. The Rowdy Rebel Bulls haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, North Stanly put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past A.L. Brown 16-6. The Comets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by six runs or more this season.

North Stanly's victory was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-0. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for South Stanly, their victory bumped their record up to 12-3.

South Stanly couldn't quite finish off North Stanly when the teams last played on Tuesday and fell 6-4. Can the Rowdy Rebel Bulls avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
