Volleyball Recap: Pueblo Central Wildcats vs. Berthoud Spartans
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Pueblo Central can now relate to. They came up short against the Berthoud Spartans on Friday, falling 3-0.
The final score came out to 25-18, 25-14, 25-19.
Adryanna Rodriguez paced Pueblo Central's offense, picking up five kills. Rodriguez got some help from Natalie Alfonso and her 14 assists. Ashlynn Saenz controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Berthoud was led to victory by Bella Shelton and Amelia Major. Shelton had nine digs and two assists, while Major had seven digs. That's the most digs Major has posted since back in October.
Pueblo Central's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Berthoud, they pushed their record up to 23-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Coincidentally, Pueblo Central and Berthoud will both be playing Falcon the next time they take the court. The Wildcats will head out to face the Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Spartans will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
