Football Game Preview: Kimberly Bulldogs vs. Homedale Trojans + How To Watch

Kimberly hasn't had much luck against Homedale recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Bulldogs will take on the Trojans at 1:00 p.m. Kimberly will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Kimberly is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They came out on top against Fruitland by a score of 28-21. The score was all tied up 14-14 at the break, but the Bulldogs were the better team in the second half.

MacRaye Bruning continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 62 yards and four scores, while also throwing for 163 yards while completing 83.3% of his passes. A healthy portion of Bruning's aerial production (90 yards to be exact) went to Joe Barrett.

Meanwhile, Homedale faced Sugar-Salem in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Trojans walked away with a 30-20 win over the Diggers. 30 seems to be a good number for the Trojans as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Homedale's win came from a few key players Kimberly will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Xavier Uranga, who threw for 251 yards and three touchdowns on only 19 passes. That's the most passing yards he has posted since back in August. Alec Campos was Uranga's top target, picking up 143 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Kimberly's record now sits at 8-3. As for Homedale, their record is now 10-1.

Kimberly came up short against Homedale in their previous meeting back in September, falling 28-21. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
