Baseball Recap: Plattsmouth Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Plattsmouth's offense. They fell 4-0 to the Gross Catholic Cougars on Friday. The Blue Devils just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Plattsmouth saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Henry Loontjer, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases. The Blue Devils are 2-1 when Loontjer posts two or more stolen bases, but 7-8 otherwise.

Plattsmouth's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Gross Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 11-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Plattsmouth will take on rival Ralston on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Gross Catholic is set to challenge their familiar foe Elkhorn North at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
