Baseball Recap: Palmer Takes a Loss

Palmer extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 1-3. They came up short against the Sand Creek Scorpions, falling 28-6. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Terrors of the 13-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2025.

Palmer saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rinzo J, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Tyler Rigney also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Sand Creek's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

On Sand Creek's side, Hayden Garcia made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave Garcia a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kale Anderson, who got on base in four of his six plate appearances with four runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Ryan Garcia-Cardona was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Sand Creek beat Palmer by a score of 20-2 on Thursday.
