Living Word Lutheran took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Laconia, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Timberwolves won by a set and slipped past the Spartans 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Timberwolves sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Eden Roethel paced Living Word Lutheran's offense, picking up 14 kills. Roethel got some help from Emree Kellerman and her 25 assists. Roethel was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Living Word Lutheran's win bumped their record up to 16-2. As for Laconia, with the defeat, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-3.

After both having extra time off, Living Word Lutheran and Heritage Christian will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:45 p.m. on the 30th. As for Laconia, they will welcome Omro at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
