Volleyball Preview: Silas Rams vs. Lincoln Abes

Silas is 10-0 against Lincoln since October of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Silas Rams will look to defend their home court against the Lincoln Abes at 7:15 p.m. Silas will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak dating back to last season alive.

Last Thursday, Silas had just enough and edged Bellarmine Prep out 3-2.

Silas had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 23-25, 25-19, 25-20, 15-13.

Samantha Caron and Sonja Strom were among the main playmakers for Silas as the former had 18 digs and five aces and the latter had nine digs and three aces. That's the most aces Caron has posted since back in October of 2023.

Silas was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in 13 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Lincoln came up short against Central Kitsap on Thursday and fell 3-1. The Abes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Silas' victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
