After losing to Chopticon the last time they met, Leonardtown decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Raiders put the hurt on the Braves with a sharp 80-57 win on Friday. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-12.

Leading Leonardtown to victory were Amari Berry and Cari Reeves. Berry posted 25 points, while Reeves went 7-for-13 to rack up 19 points. Another player making a difference was Braylon Gladden, who earned 12 points.

Leonardtown has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their offensive performance: the team's won by an average of 28 points thus far. As for Chopticon, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Leonardtown will be home for the holidays to greet Calvert at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Raiders will be up against the Cavaliers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 51.75 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Chopticon will take on St. Charles in a holiday battle on Monday.
