Volleyball Game Preview: Smith Vo-Tech Vikings vs. Pope Francis Prep Cardinals

The Smith Vo-Tech Vikings are taking a road trip to challenge the Pope Francis Prep Cardinals at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Smith Vo-Tech will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

On Thursday, Smith Vo-Tech was able to grind out a solid win over Southwick Regional, taking the game 3-1.

Smith Vo-Tech walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-15, 22-25, 25-18, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Pope Francis Prep unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Friday. They fell 3-1 to Easthampton/Hampshire.

Smith Vo-Tech's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Pope Francis Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.

Smith Vo-Tech took their victory against Pope Francis Prep in their previous meeting back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
