Recap: Tri Titans vs. Oldenburg Academy Twisters

The Tri Titans waltzed into their match on Saturday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They came out on top against Oldenburg Academy by a score of 57-50. That's two games straight that Tri has won by exactly seven points.

Tri got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Josiah Cox out in front who scored 26 points. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Cox has scored at least a third of Tri's points. Gracen Huffman was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.

Tri's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Oldenburg Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tri on the road again on Friday and play against Winchester Community at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. As for Oldenburg Academy, they will square off against Jac-Cen-Del at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Jac-Cen-Del is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
