Baseball Recap: Sabino Takes a Loss

Sabino had lost six straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Saturday they dropped their record down to 2-15 to make it seven. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tanque Verde Hawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Sabercats of the 6-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

As for Tanque Verde, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-4-1. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

For Tanque Verde's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rocco Haggard, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base.
