Soccer Game Preview: Clearfield vs. Philipsburg-Osceola + How To Watch

The Clearfield Bison are taking a road trip to square off against the Philipsburg-Osceola Mountaineers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.

Clearfield is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Westmont Hilltop on Thursday. They fell just short of the Hilltoppers by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, Clearfield can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 487th, while Westmont Hilltop are ranked 209th).

Meanwhile, Philipsburg-Osceola can bid farewell to their three-match losing streak thanks to their match on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Chestnut Ridge 2-1.

Philipsburg-Osceola's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 2-9. As for Clearfield, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.

Clearfield suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Philipsburg-Osceola in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Bison were down 3-0.
