Basketball Recap: Brookfield Central Takes a Loss

Brookfield Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss. They were outmatched by the Cherry Valley-Springfield Patriots and fell 49-22. The Beavers were down 46-15 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

When it comes to explaining why Brookfield Central lost, don't look at Travis Abrams. Despite the final result, he posted 11 points and five blocks. Abrams has been hot recently, having posted four or more blocks the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan DiBrango, who put up a point along with eight rebounds and five assists.

Brookfield Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Cherry Valley-Springfield, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6-1.

Looking ahead, Brookfield Central and Cincinnatus Central will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. Cherry Valley-Springfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
