League recap: Edgerton leads league with two wins since last week

Top honors in the league this week go to Edgerton, which finished with two wins overall, good for best in the league. The Crimson Tide beat Whitewater 7-3.

Behind a 1-1 record over the past week, Mcfarland made the biggest jump in the national rankings, all the way from 6,677 to 6,442. The Spartans are currently sitting at No. 35 in the state of Wisconsin, thanks to an overall record of 11-8.

McFarland's pitching staff had a strong showing this week, allowing only 16 hits and five walks, both of which led the league.

There were seven hitters that batted over .400 in the league this week. They were led by Justin Hanson, who hit .800 this week (4-for-5).

Caleb Hintz and Scott Gorsach hit home runs this week.



The Spartans' Jacob Schimmel struck out nine East Troy hitters en route to a 3-0 victory on May 14. Over his seven innings pitched he allowed zero runs on two hits.
