Basketball Recap: Classical Prep Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

If Elfers Christian wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Classical Prep, they should've done a better job of containing Kaelyn Malloy. The Classical Prep Lions claimed a resounding 38-4 win over the Elfers Christian Eagles thanks in part to Malloy, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 16 boards. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 8.1 rebounds per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Haley Zimmerman, who posted eight points in addition to seven steals and five boards. That's the most rebounds she has posted since back in January of 2024.

Classical Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 34.7 points. As for Elfers Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Classical Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 40-39 victory against Riverside Christian on the 17th. Elfers Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
