Burns never let their opponents score on Friday. They claimed a resounding 50-0 win over the Bessemer City Yellow Jackets. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Yellow Jackets: they've now won five in a row.

Burns' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Romelo Wells, who rushed for 67 yards and one score on only five carries. Jorian Ussery also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Burns was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 344 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 174 rushing yards in four consecutive contests.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Burns' defense and their three sacks. Xavier Epps was especially locked on to Bessemer City's QB and sacked him twice. Max Davis was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, forcing one fumble, and making eight total tackles.
