Volleyball Recap: York Comes Up Short

York was the 2-0 winner over Ogallala when they last played one another back in September of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Dukes fell just short of the Indians by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Dukes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Harley Wardyn paced York's offense, picking up seven kills. Wardyn got some help from Kinslee Kern and her 19 assists. Sydney Jacobsen controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

York's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Ogallala, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

York wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Kearney Catholic on the 20th. As for Ogallala, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Aurora on the 20th.
