Volleyball Recap: Escalante Moquis vs. St. Joseph Jayhawks
Escalante was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the St. Joseph Jayhawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Moquis of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-15.
Mackenzie Hernandez was the offensive standout of the match as she had eight digs.
Escalante's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for St. Joseph, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 18-6.
Escalante does not have any more games scheduled as of now. St. Joseph has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Altamont on the 19th.
