Baseball Recap: Franklin Comes Up Short

Franklin lost against Page last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Admirals came up short against the Patriots, falling 12-1. The match marked the Admirals' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Franklin saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Hoard, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Sam Hendry also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Franklin has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Page, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-7.

Franklin has already played their next match, an 11-0 defeat against Christ Presbyterian Academy on the 4th. As for Page, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-2 victory against Battle Creek on the 4th.
