Volleyball Recap: Markesan Comes Up Short

Markesan lost against Central Wisconsin Christian back in September of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Hornets took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crusaders. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Rylee Hoffmann paced Markesan's offense, picking up four kills. Hoffmann got some help from Brynn Jackowski and her ten assists.

Markesan's loss dropped their record down to 9-21. As for Central Wisconsin Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, Markesan and Central Wisconsin Christian will both be playing Johnson Creek the next time they take the court. The Hornets will head out to face the Bluejays at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Crusaders will play them later in the day, at 5:30 p.m.
