Basketball Recap: Westside's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

If Westside was feeling good fresh off their 69-35 takedown of Pike County last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Westside Seminoles fell just short of the Callaway Cavaliers by a score of 35-33 on Thursday. The Seminoles' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Westside's loss came despite strong showings from Jorden Billue and Domonique Billue. Jorden posted nine points and six boards, while Domonique scored ten points and four steals. Domonique is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Westside's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Callaway, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-7.

Westside didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-37 victory against Rutland on the 31st. Callaway has also already played their next match, a 48-32 win against Jackson on the 31st.
