Ethan Latta Earns League's Top Spot
Starting off the list is Dundy County-Stratton's Ethan Latta, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Latta rushed for 219 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 9.5 yards per carry. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in September of 2023. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 57 yards.
Dundy County-Stratton pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Latta and Dundy County-Stratton will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Boyd County at 1:30 p.m. on October 24th.

Arapahoe Gets a Boost from Cacy in 51-12 Win
William Cacy was instrumental in extending Arapahoe's winning streak to seven on Friday. Cacy turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 141 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 106 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Arapahoe's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Cacy and Arapahoe will challenge St. Patrick's at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Lane Bybee Makes It Two for Dundy County-Stratton
The second Dundy County-Stratton player making an appearance here is Lane Bybee, and for good reason. He wasn't messing around on Friday, picking up 2.5 sacks, forcing a fumble, and making 11 total tackles (4.0 for loss). The game was his third straight with 11 or more total tackles dating back to last season.
This season, Bybee has averaged 11.3 total tackles per game and for the season has 4.5 sacks. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had one forced fumble. This year he is already up to three.

Trenton Roskop Turns in Season-Best Effort
On Friday, Arapahoe got the W thanks in part to Trenton Roskop playing the best football he has all season. Roskop rushed for 51 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 88 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.
For the year, Roskop has thrown 5 touchdowns while averaging 32.3 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had three rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to seven.

Zavier Mitchell Makes Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Zavier Mitchell of Alma. Mitchell threw for 122 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a rushing score.
Alma's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6. Mitchell and Alma will head out to face off against Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
