Basketball Recap: Bloomfield Takes a Loss

Bloomfield suffered their closest defeat since January 19, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of the Creighton Bulldogs by a score of 45-43. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 48-25 back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Bloomfield lost, don't look at Beau Eisenhauer. Despite the final result, he went 6-for-13 to rack up 15 points along with eight boards and four steals. That's the most rebounds Eisenhauer has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Benjamin Dodge, who put up ten points and seven boards.

Bloomfield's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Creighton, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 7-13.

Bloomfield has already played their next game, a 62-24 victory against Neligh-Oakdale on the 11th. As for Creighton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 60-51 defeat against Bloomfield on the 13th.
