Soccer Recap: Joplin Takes a Loss

Joplin managed to slip by Carthage the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Eagles lost 3-0 to the Tigers on Thursday. Joplin were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Carthage earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Joplin has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. As for Carthage, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-8.

Joplin has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Kirksville on the 2nd. As for Carthage, they will head out to face off against Monett at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Carthage are facing Monett at the right time seeing as Monett are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
