Baseball Recap: Henderson Drops Season-High Score on Great Valley

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Henderson). They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Great Valley Patriots on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won seven in a row.

Jake Schultz looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Henderson got a massive performance out of Cole Ryan, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave Ryan a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Ethan Franks, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-4.

Henderson's record is now 8-4. As for Great Valley, the loss snapped their winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 11-2 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Henderson will welcome Strath Haven at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Warriors 4, the Panthers 3) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Great Valley, they will challenge Unionville at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Patriots are facing the Longhorns at the right time seeing as the Longhorns are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
