La Jolla is 6-1 against Lincoln since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Vikings will be playing at home against the Hornets at 4:00 p.m. La Jolla is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.7 runs per game this season.

La Jolla took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with an 11-7 win over High Tech SD. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Storm recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Savannah Putnam made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. Putnam was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Jerri Taylor was excellent, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Aviv Laska was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four games, Lincoln finally came back down to earth on Monday. They came up short against Francis Parker, falling 10-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Hornets were not able to get on the board.

Lincoln moved to 7-9 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for La Jolla, their win bumped their record up to 4-11.

La Jolla suffered a grim 21-10 defeat to Lincoln in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can the Vikings avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
