Volleyball Recap: Rice Comes Up Short

Rice was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Palmer. If Rice was looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to Palmer when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Rice started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-19, 25-17, 25-10.

Rice's record is now 10-17. As for Palmer, their win bumped their record up to 22-8.

Coming up, Rice will be playing in front of their home fans against Keene at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Palmer, they are taking a road trip to face off against Blum at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
