After both having extra time off, the Hillsboro Indians and the Washington Blue Lions will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Hillsboro has four straight victories, Washington has 17 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
On Monday, Hillsboro was able to grind out a solid win over Fairfield, taking the game 3-1.
Hillsboro walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the fourth set). The final score came out to 26-24, 17-25, 25-16, 25-13.

Allie Roush and Macy Fauber were among the main playmakers for Hillsboro as the former had ten digs and the latter had nine digs. That's the most digs Fauber has posted since back in September.
Meanwhile, Washington lost 3-0 to Miami Trace last Thursday.
The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-15, 25-12.
Washington's loss dropped their record down to 1-21. As for Hillsboro, their win bumped their record up to 14-8.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Monday's matchup: Hillsboro has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 8.5 aces per game. However, it's not like Washington struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.3 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
