Baseball Recap: Easton Beats Kent Island for Their Third Straight Victory

Easton had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Kent Island Buccaneers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Warriors have posted since March 27th.

Kayden Webb made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. Webb was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024.

Webb wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Colin Mooney, who went 2-for-3 with one run. That's the most hits Mooney has posted since back in March.

Easton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .421. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.

Easton's record is now 9-4. As for Kent Island, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Coincidentally, Easton and Kent Island will both be playing Cambridge-South Dorchester the next time they take the field. The Buccaneers will host the Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Warriors will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
