Baseball Recap: John Glenn's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

John Glenn can bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top against the Southampton Mariners by a score of 5-2. This was a revenge game for the Knights: when they faced off against the Mariners on Thursday, they had to take a 7-3 defeat.

Andrew Dunn spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on seven hits. He has become a key player for John Glenn: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 1-13 otherwise.

At the plate, Dillon DeRiggi was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hunter Klinger-Cooley, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-14. As for Southampton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.
