Baseball Recap: Westchester Takes a Loss

Westchester fell victim to Venice and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Venice Gondoliers, falling 16-0. The defeat leaves the Comets still looking for their first win of the season.

Westchester saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sir Sutton, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one double. That double marked the first that Sutton hit this season.

Westchester's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Venice, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Westchester has already played their next game, a 4-0 defeat against Hamilton on the 12th. As for Venice, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 7-0 victory against Garfield on the 10th.
