Foothill and Dublin are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2021, but likely not for long. The Falcons will be playing at home against the Gaels at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Dublin took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Foothill, who comes in off a win.
On Tuesday, Foothill needed a bit of extra time to put away Monte Vista. They came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 9-6. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Myra Galzie was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over ten innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in February. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-6 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Alexa Sponsel was incredible, going 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March. Madden Dinsley-Klinefelter was another key player, going 4-for-5 with one run and one RBI.
Foothill kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are 4-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Dublin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of Carondelet. Gaels fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Cougars since Tuesday.
Sydney Salazar was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Gabrielle Cooper, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.
Foothill now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Dublin, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Foothill hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.7 home runs per game. However, it's not like Dublin struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Foothill couldn't quite finish off Dublin in their previous matchup back in March and fell 10-8. Will the Falcons have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
