After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lexington, Marlborough was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Ayer Shirley. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in March.

Marlborough not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Ayer Shirley between 17 and 19 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-17, 25-17.

Marlborough's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Ayer Shirley, they dropped their record down to 3-6 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Marlborough has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Lincoln-Sudbury on the 29th. As for Ayer Shirley, they will welcome Wachusett Regional at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
